Our VP of Culture and Engagement plays a vital role in our resident and guest outcomes and overall experience. We are looking for passionate and dedicated VP of Culture and Engagement to become a part of our facility's compassionate and hospitable care-giving team.
The Vice President of Culture and Engagement is responsible for ensuring the organization meets its team member-focused goals while cultivating an environment that prioritizes employee engagement, regulatory compliance, and quality workforce performance. This position oversees systems that support daily labor effectiveness, staff retention, onboarding, training compliance, and the execution of engagement programs that define and sustain the organizational culture.
Responsibilities- Monitor and implement processes and procedures to support and achieve SBT (Shift Based Talent) targets.
- Lead and oversee all aspects of facility safety including monthly safety meetings, bi-weekly and monthly worker’s compensation calls; implement plans of correction when issues are identified.
- Audit employee files for compliance including background checks, licensure, competencies, and annual training.
- Review Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) data and labor dashboards to identify and correct facility trends such as RN coverage gaps.
- Audit new hire orientation programs for alignment with organizational standards, including day-one execution and manager involvement.
- Provide oversight and guidance to DCEs (Directors of Culture and Engagement), collaborating with General Managers to address performance concerns.
- Oversee the DCE training and onboarding program and participate in DCE candidate interviews.
- Monitor and review budget and payroll submissions; audit timecards and employee profiles in Paylocity for accuracy.
- Review and ensure completion of all mandatory monthly trainings.
- Provide employee relations support and coaching on best practices for all staff; escalate and partner on management-level concerns with HR leadership.
- Lead survey readiness initiatives including file audits and safety compliance for state and federal inspection.
- Ensure the execution and tracking of Ignite engagement programs.

Qualifications- QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
Master’s degree preferred. - Demonstrated success in employee engagement, labor analytics, and survey preparedness.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements in skilled nursing, including PBJ reporting and training documentation.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity), timekeeping, scheduling platforms, and retention technology.
- Ability to build strong relationships across leadership teams; skilled in coaching and performance improvement.
- Must be able to travel regionally to support facility and team needs.
