Job Description

At Regions, the Business Group Solutions Manager manages teams of analysts and process specialists responsible for the analysis of a business unit’s new/existing business systems, which includes delivering new systems and enhancing existing systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partners with business leaders to define strategy and prioritization for key business system initiatives
  • Oversees business unit’s prioritized technology initiatives, ensuring connectivity of solution delivery to the business objective and value creation
  • Acts as a major liaison with other departments to identify business system needs for the business unit and works in a shared services environment
  • Builds roadmaps for business systems based on the business unit’s needs, creates user acceptance test plans, and develops business requirements for the supported business groups
  • Develops business requirements to define high level functionally needed in all the business unit’s delivery channels on major projects
  • Allocates team resources and monitors deliverables to ensure the business unit’s needs are met successfully and in a timely fashion
  • Manages subordinate staff in day-to-day performance
  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets
  • Manages business unit’s third-party system provider relationships
  • Manages controls and findings associated with business unit systems
  • Operates with a wide degree of latitude

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Ten (10) years of experience in the related area as an individual contributor, analyst, or team leader
  • Advanced knowledge of the managed sub-function and overall departmental function and processes

Preferences

  • Five (5) years of supervisory/management experience

  • Ability to learn additional systems as needed
  • Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
  • Ability to supervise and manage a team
  • Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
