We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and drive our commercial real estate projects to successful completion. This role demands a quick-thinking, multitasking professional with exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can make an immediate impact, effectively manage an account-based project management team, manage vendors, and navigate complex project requirements with ease.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of commercial real estate projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will leverage your strong communication skills and proven ability to get things done to foster productive relationships with stakeholders and guide the project team to success.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage a pipeline of corporate office tenant improvement projects including new builds, remodels, upfits, decommissions, moves and infrastructure upgrades.
- Develop comprehensive project plans including; scope, schedules, budgets, risk registers and resource allocation.
- Oversee the execution of all project phases, ensuring adherence to established schedules and financial constraints.
- Source, negotiate with, and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
- Ensure that all vendor deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project progress, risks, and changes.
- Lead and motivate project teams, clearly delegating tasks and responsibilities.
- Monitor team performance and provide guidance to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Address issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections and reviews to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Ensure that all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Develop robust processes, templates and playbooks.
- Directly manage employees.
- Minimum 5 years of direct project management experience within the commercial real estate sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing small-medium projects as well as large-scale (client facing headquarters) projects from inception to completion.
- Strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to use tools and technology to schedule, manage and communicate project plans and progress to stakeholders.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on building and maintaining client relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Effective time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated capability in vendor management and negotiation.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
- High level of initiative and proactive problem-solving.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
- Proven ability to make strategic decisions and navigate project complexities.
- Provide leadership and oversight to project team managers.
- Domestic travel required up to 35%
