A well-established, regional law firm client is seeking an experienced Office Manager to help drive operational excellence, elevate client service, and foster a collaborative workplace culture. Position Overview:

The Office Manager serves as the operational leader for the Raleigh office, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for both clients and employees.

This position oversees office services, facilities, reception, hospitality, and workflow support while partnering closely with departments such as Legal Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may vary based on needs of the office and to include (but not limited to):

  • Direct day-to-day office operations, including reception, conference spaces, supplies, mail services, and vendor coordination.
  • Maintain consistent service standards and ensure all client-facing areas are presentation-ready.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop office services personnel, including reception staff and team leads.
  • Coordinate onsite hospitality, meetings, and events while supporting firmwide initiatives.
  • Manage building services, repairs, maintenance, and space planning.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and partner with Finance on invoice processing and cost monitoring.
  • Ensure proper records management and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Promote the use of digital tools such as Microsoft 365, Teams, and workflow platforms to improve efficiency.
  • Enforce operational procedures and act as the primary escalation point for office-related issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address local operational needs.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities and assist with budget tracking.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution.
  • At least three years of management experience, ideally within a law firm setting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proven discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential information.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Experience:
  • Familiarity with digital workflow tools and AI-enabled platforms.
  • Exposure to budgeting, billing, or financial reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources and Information Technology processes.
  • Project management experience or certification.
  • Background in facilities management and vendor oversight.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to lead through change and support the adoption of new technologies.
