Carolina PRG has partnered with an Uptown HQ to identify a proven SVP/Corporate Controller to complement their highly respected executive leadership team and to manage a team of 20+ accounting professionals.
Base pay range$/yr - $/yr

Key Responsibilities- Review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulations.
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process and work with department heads to create accurate financial forecasts. Monitor variances and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop accounting strategies that support the company's growth and profitability objectives. Provide financial insights and guidance on key decisions.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and procedures to safeguard the company's assets, ensure compliance, and minimize financial risks.
- Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit. Address audit findings and implement necessary improvements.
- Evaluate and implement systems to streamline processes, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance data analytics.
- Lead and mentor a team of 20+ accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and ongoing professional development.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification required
- Prior Big 4 experience is a plus
- Proven experience as a Corporate Controller
- Experience managing director level employees and teams of 12+
- Current experience with a company experiencing significant growth
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, technical accounting, and best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
