Our client, a professional services, training, and advisory company specializing in crisis management and business resilience, is seeking a contract/contract-to-hire professional who can work 10-20 hours/week during business hours. This role supports Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and Resilience program services for their clients. Depending on experience level, this individual may either lead or support service delivery, helping organizations design, implement, and maintain effective resilience frameworks.

Our client is open to candidates who bring 3–8 years of combined experience in emergency preparedness, response, business continuity, security, crisis management, or related fields, whether as an emerging practitioner or a seasoned consultant ready to take ownership of client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide subject-matter expertise, guidance, and analytical support across technical areas, including Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Security, and Resilience.
• Support or lead the design, development, and implementation of resilience program components, plans, playbooks, reports, and training materials.
• Manage or contribute to all phases of service delivery: needs assessment, planning, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
• Develop professional, publication-ready documents that align with industry standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIMS, HSEEP, ISO, OSHA, NFPA).
• Conduct or support meetings, workshops, and presentations with clients, including senior executives and cross-functional teams.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and long-term impact.
• For senior candidates: lead projects, mentor team members, oversee quality assurance, and contribute to thought leadership through articles, webinars, and conference participation.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university. Candidates with an academic background in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Public Affairs, Public Health, or a related discipline are preferred (not required).
• 3–8 years of experience in emergency preparedness, response, business continuity, crisis management, security, or related resilience functions.
• Experience designing, developing, and publishing emergency management, crisis management, security, or business continuity plans for public and private organizations.
• Proven ability to manage or contribute to complex projects under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information in clear, business-friendly terms.
