Responsibilities- The Director of Sales is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership as a member of the Leadership Committee.
- Direct oversight of the Sales and Marketing operation of the hotel, including budget/P&L, revenue forecasting, advertising and marketing, business planning, and ownership meetings.
- Supervision of sales managers, trainees, interns, and administrative staff, and responsibility for recruitment, hiring, training, and coaching to meet company goals and maximize hotel revenues.
- Proficient in general computer knowledge and able to train and monitor the group and transient contractual agreement process, quoting rates, sending referrals, setting traces, and managing retention, reactivation, and acquisition accounts.
- Prospect, attend networking events, and have an impact in the community.
- Report directly to the General Manager and Regional Vice President of Sales.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
The salary range for this role is $80,000–$85,000, plus eligible sales incentive. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience.

- 6 years or more of progressive hotel sales experience (typically with Hyatt)
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
- Experience with hotel pre‑opening preferred
- Demonstrated history of success and results‑driven, energetic, and focused mindset
- Service‑orientated style with professional presentation skills
- Hospitality degree an asset
- High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, exceptional customer service, and ability to improve the bottom line
- Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
