As Regional Director for the Carolina's, you will lead P&L, scale high‑performing teams, and drive operational excellence across North and South Carolina. Position Overview:The Regional Director (RD) is the senior executive leader with full P&L responsibility for Multi‑family HVAC operations across the Carolinas. This role functions as a General Manager of the region and is accountable for financial performance, operational excellence, growth, talent development, customer satisfaction, and safety/compliance.
The RD will oversee the Project Management Team, Operations Team, and Regional Sales Manager, ensuring consistent execution of company strategy while adapting to local market dynamics. This position requires a hands‑on, metrics‑driven leader with deep HVAC or mechanical services experience and a proven track record of scaling operations profitably.
Key Responsibilities:P&L and Financial Leadership:
- Full accountability for regional financial performance, job margins, budgets, forecasts, and KPI management.
- Overall responsibility for ensuring actual project margins meet or exceed the as sold project margins.
- Oversee and report on monthly job cost reviews and Total Project Cost (TPC) forecasts and risk mitigation planning.
- Develop and execute annual budgets, operating plans, and long‑range forecasts.
- Analyze financial and operational KPIs; implement corrective actions to exceed performance targets.
- Partner with corporate sales and finance leadership on pricing strategy, capital allocation, and ROI initiatives.
- Lead and optimize all regional HVAC operations, enforce safety and compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
- Growth and Market Expansion:
Execute regional growth strategies, identify market opportunities, and build strategic relationships. - Leadership and Talent Development:
Build, lead, and develop high‑performing teams; recruit, retain, and coach top talent. - Sales and Customer Focus:
Align operations with sales, drive pipeline development, and manage key customer relationships. - Strategic Alignment and Reporting:
Translate enterprise strategy into regional execution plans and provide insights to executive leadership.
- Execute regional growth strategies, including organic growth and greenfield expansion.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities within the multi‑family and hospitality HVAC segments.
- Build strong relationships with key customers, vendors, and strategic partners.
- Build, lead, and develop high‑performing regional leadership teams (Sales, Preconstruction, Project Managers, Field Area Managers, and Superintendents).
- Recruit, retain, and develop top talent; establish a strong performance culture with clear accountability.
- Coach Project Managers and Area Managers on financial acumen, operational discipline, and people management.
- Promote a culture of safety, integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with sales leadership to drive pipeline development, close rates, and margin growth.
