About the Position

The company is seeking a Director of Operations to lead operations in Charlotte. This is not a traditional operations manager role—it’s a head coach position for someone who has lived in the details of complex concrete projects and now knows how to lead multiple teams to success.

This is an opportunity to own both the strategic and tactical performance of 4+ major projects at once—ranging from $8M+ and 4 stories up to 30+ story towers. You’ll manage project teams, shape preconstruction and business development targeting, ensure high standards in execution, and drive accountability through data and process. You’ll need to pivot when required, support your team through challenges, and communicate with clarity and urgency.

If you have a track record of leading large commercial concrete projects and is known for having  command presence  in high-stakes environments—this is your stage.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead operational oversight of 3–6 large-scale concrete projects simultaneously.

  • Provide coaching and structure to PMs and Superintendents—ensure they know what they’re focused on and how to execute.

  • Guide preconstruction and BD teams to chase and win the right work.

  • Review and act on project data—use KPIs, schedule, budget, and safety metrics to identify opportunities and drive accountability.

  • Own manpower planning and team resource alignment across projects.

  • Make go/no-go decisions in precon, provide execution feedback early and often.

  • Partner with leadership to continually refine operational strategy.

  • Maintain client relationships across the lifecycle of major projects.


Requirements
  • Minimum 10+ years of construction project management experience, preferably rising through the ranks as a Project Manager.

  • Demonstrated success on complex concrete projects $8M+ and/or structures over 4 stories.

  • Strong preference for experience in high-rise
    , sports facilities
    , or large commercial concrete work.

  • Ability to lead multiple teams and juggle competing demands while keeping high-level priorities clear.

  • Comfort using data to drive decisions; you must be able to articulate how you organize
    , lead
    , and hold your team accountable
    .

  • Confident communicator who commands respect on job sites and in the boardroom.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar is preferred.


Benefits & Compensation
  • Base Salary: $200k Range

  • Bonus: Up to 30%

  • Reward Share: 15–20%

  • Incentives: Target bonuses and potential long term incentive plan only shared by the top executives of the company.
