Finance Practice Group Manager

A leading full‑service AmLaw 200 firm is seeking a Finance Practice Group Manager to join its Finance practice. • Support and manage day‑to‑day operations for a 100+ attorney Finance practice
• Collaborate with leadership to develop strategic goals and execute key initiatives
• Prepare agendas, reports, and follow‑up items for partner and group meetings
• Partner with Human Resources, Professional Development, and Inclusion & Belonging teams to support attorney growth
• Assist with matter staffing and monitor workload distribution
• Support recruiting pipelines, performance evaluations, and development plans
• Develop training and CLE programs and support coaching, mentorship programs, and individual development planning
• Collaborate with Marketing/BD on rankings, RFPs, client pitches, and events
• Assist with pricing proposals, budgets, and fee estimates
• Identify and implement workflow, billing, and process improvements
• Coordinate matter staffing across teams, offices, and practice support roles

• Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Law, or related field); JD preferred
• 5+ years of legal practice management experience or 8–10+ years of legal practice experience
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred
• Strong communication, leadership ability, and emotional intelligence
• Proven problem‑solving skills and responsiveness
• Experience supporting attorney development and talent programs a plus

• Full‑time role based in Charlotte; option for 1 day WFH/week
• Competitive compensation up to $200K; $220K-$240K for candidates with a JD, based on experience
