Facilities Manager
Full-time role. Pay is $65,000 – $85,000/year based on experience. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, sick time, PTO, 401K, EAP, life insurance (optional), and short-term/long-term disability.
The Director of Facilities is responsible for the overall management and supervision of facility operations, including building maintenance, security, custodial services, and ground keeping. They ensure that all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and that they are safe, functional, and well-maintained. Must work closely with the PRN Executive Team to develop long-term facility plans and budgets, and oversee staff and contractors involved in facility-related activities.

What You’ll Do- Develop and implement long-term facility plans and budgets that align with PRN organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee building maintenance, repairs, renovations, ensuring that facilities are safe, functional, and efficient.
- Whenever possible will ensure repairs that can be made in-house by facilities personnel are done to alleviate unnecessary costs to the agency from outside contractors.
- Coordinate security and emergency response plans, ensuring that all necessary precautions and procedures are in place.
- Direct custodial services and groundskeeping operations, ensuring that all areas of facilities are clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, identifying and addressing any potential safety hazards or compliance issues.
- Hire, train, manage, and evaluate staff involved in facility-related activities, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Oversee contracts related to facility-related services (janitorial, landscaping, etc.) to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness, as well as work quality.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities.
- Articulate the mission, vision and philosophy of Promise Resource Network.
- Oversee day-to-day facility operations, maintenance and management of PRN’s physical assets to ensure proper maintenance of buildings, equipment and resources to support business operations.
- Establishes and maintains a working environment conducive to positive morale, individual style, quality, creativity and teamwork; selects, trains and evaluates staff within the facilities department.
- Identify and present liability/risk management concerns around facilities to the Executive Team for discussion and implementation of necessary actions (policy changes, insurance considerations, capital expenditures, training, etc.).
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with ability to inspire, motivate, and lead team members to achieve organizational goals.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
- Ability to develop and implement plans.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other facility functionalities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting strict deadlines.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management or related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a managerial role in a facilities, operations or related environment.
- Strong knowledge of facility management principles, practices and procedures.
- Working knowledge and experience with computer systems, including facility management software, CAD and standard MS office applications.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in project management or construction is a plus.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators for facilities operations and be able to provide reports to the Executive Team within required reporting timelines.
- Valid driver’s license.
