DSV - Global transport and logistics is a leading supplier of transport and logistics solutions worldwide. The Branch Manager position in Charlotte, North Carolina will oversee all aspects of branch operations with a strong focus on customer acquisition, team development and financial management.

Summary

The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations, with a strong focus on customer acquisition, team development, and financial management. The role demands both strategic oversight and hands‑on leadership to ensure operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and sustainable growth.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive branch growth by acquiring new clients and maintaining strong relationships with existing ones.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by fostering an environment of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Visiting key clients to identify opportunities for further business development.
  • Oversee branch operations to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
  • Use financial reports to manage cash flow, improve transportation yield and control expenses.
  • Focus on driving profitable growth by increasing revenue and improving operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to keep the branch competitive in the freight forwarding market.
  • Leverage market insights to adapt and enhance the branch's operational performance.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to align branch goals with overall company objectives.
  • Promote a culture of integrity, transparency and constructive feedback within the branch.
  • Travel as required.

  • Hire, train and develop a high‑performing team aligned with the company's mission.

  • Integrate new hires into the organization and provide ongoing support for their development.

  • Educational background / Work experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred.
    • At least 5 years of progressive experience in the freight forwarding industry, or 10 years of equivalent work experience is preferred.

    Language skills
    • Fluency in English is required.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    Physical and/or Mental Requirements / Working Conditions

    Work is generally sedentary, with no specific need for physical coordination or effort. May require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information, or occasional standing, walking, lifting needed to carry out everyday activities. Hours can be extensive as well as occasionally staggered for multi‑shift access.

    Compensation and Benefits

    For this position, the expected base pay is $111,000$166,000 per year.
