Assistant – Facility Maintenance & Repair
Department: Maintenance
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Supervisor - Maintenance
Status: Full-Time (Non-Exempt)
Position SummaryThe Assistant, Facility Maintenance & Repair position will be responsible for general upkeep of stadium spaces.
Primary Responsibilities- Interior and exterior painting.
- Repair of drywall, wall coverings and wall panels.
- Door refinishing.
- Door hardware preventative maintenance and repair.
- Continuous upkeep of stadium seating, both fixed and movable chairs.
- Furniture movement, restoration and assembly.
- Troubleshooting problems and making timely repairs
- Bank of America Stadium event day support – working closely with the Maintenance team to resolve issues before, during and after 40+ events annually.
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum 3 years of experience in building trades such as handyman services, maintenance technician, carpentry, painting and/or drywall work.
- Must be proficient at reading instructions, schematics, and diagrams.
- Understanding of current materials and procedures for properly addressing a variety of preventative maintenance issues
- Must be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and all Stadium events, including events held on weekends, nights, and holidays when necessary
- Must pass pre-employment screens
- Experience working in a large facility or venue and/or campus.
- Must be able to use tools (grinder, saw, drills, etc) in a safe manner
- Must be highly motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced, complex environment
- Ability to work independently and willing to work in a collaborative environment
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines with accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects under very tight timelines
- Superior written and oral communication, analytical and organizational skills
- Clearly and concisely communicate ideas and details with others
- Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods throughout the day.
- Ability to focus on projects for periods.
- Lift at least 30 pounds
- Must be able to climb and work overhead off a ladder and scaffolding
- Must be able to operate and work from a boom lift
- Ability to work in variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold weather based on the season
This job operates in all areas of the stadium both inside and outside. At times it may include inclement and extreme weather conditions. This position will occasionally be required to support project work at Atrium Health Performance Park as well.
