About The PositionWe are seeking a reliable and skilled person with facility maintenance and handyman type skills to join our facilities team. The Facilities Specialist role combines moderate building maintenance and repair tasks to keep our building clean, safe, and fully operational, as well as general cleaning duties.
What You’ll Do- Perform daily cleaning of floors, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and restock supplies.
- Conduct minor repairs such as patching walls, fixing leaks, replacing light bulbs, and adjusting doors or furniture.
- Complete HVAC maintenance, plumbing, low-voltage electrical, and small carpentry work as needed in the locations.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture for events or meetings.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
- Maintain cleaning and maintenance equipment and inventory.
- Respond to urgent cleaning or repair requests in a timely manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience in handy person tasks and janitorial work.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry required.
