The role of a building cleaning worker includes maintaining the cleanliness and order of commercial or institutional building premises. Responsibilities cover a range of cleaning, minor maintenance, and support tasks.

• Cleans offices, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms.
• Wet‑or‑dry‑mops floors, shampoos rugs, washes walls and glass, removes rubbish and graffiti.
• Conducts minor repairs, painting, carpentry, replenishes bathroom supplies, manages landscaping and snow removal.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Washes rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies; dusts furniture and equipment.
• Replaces light bulbs and transports small equipment between departments.
• Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium, meeting rooms or halls.

• High School Diploma / GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in cleaning a commercial or multi‑unit residential property.
• Dependable, follows instructions, responsible, team oriented, ethical, respectful, and communicative.
• Observes safety and security procedures, reports potential risks, uses equipment and materials properly.
• Basic reading, writing, speaking, and understanding of English.
