Airport Exterior Maintenance Technician

We are seeking to hire an Airside Exterior Maintenance Technician. You will be responsible for vacuuming, mopping, sweeping floors, trash removal, restroom and break room cleaning, and other miscellaneous duties to ensure that the building and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. An ideal candidate will have a professional attitude & appearance and be initiative-taking, hardworking, dependable, and responsible.

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Airport Grounds / Landside Maintenance Technician to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of exterior airport areas. This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining parking lots, parking garages, roadways, sidewalks, and terminal entrances to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the traveling public.

• Clean and maintain parking garages, surface parking areas, roadways, sidewalks, curbs, and terminal frontage
• Remove trash, debris, and other hazards from assigned areas
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles
• Perform sweeping, pressure washing, and manual cleaning
• Assist with seasonal duties such as leaf removal and storm cleanup
• Maintain safe pedestrian and vehicle areas by identifying and reporting hazards
• Set up cones, barricades, and safety signage as needed
• Operate cleaning and maintenance equipment and tools
• Follow all airport safety, security, and operational procedures
• Maintain a professional appearance and interact courteously with the public
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in grounds maintenance, custodial, or facilities work preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to obtain and maintain airport security clearance
• Valid driver’s license may be required
• Outdoor airport setting with exposure to weather, noise, and vehicle traffic
• High-security environment requiring adherence to airport and TSA regulations
• Training provided
• Full-time
• Pay Rate: $17/hour
