The GSE Mechanic will inspect and identify defective or broken parts on ground support equipment (GSE) and make repairs to diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. The GSE Mechanic will work closely with the Operations Manager and Line Service Department to provide safe, mechanically sound GSE equipment and facilities.
Essential Functions- Comply with and ensure accountability for Company policies and procedures related to GSE standards, safety, and security procedures.
- Establish, implement, and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for the site’s fleet of ground service equipment and fuel farm.
- Perform repairs on downed equipment.
- Maintain stock of necessary parts and fluids in accordance with the PMS and guidance from the Operations Manager and General Manager.
- Promote first‑class customer service and safety through daily observations, shift briefings, routine audits, usage of Baldwin SMS, monthly service/safety meetings, training, and documented procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and business partners.
- Additional duties as directed by the Operations Manager or General Manager from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires three (3) years of progressive management experience including maintenance of FBO equipment.
- Ability to operate a multitude of aircraft ground support equipment (∶ Tug, tow bars, GPU, air start, floor machine, belt loader, LAV cart, forklift).
- Strong commitment to results.
- Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience.
- FBO/Aviation experience.
- Forklift experience preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
FLSA Status:
This position is nonexempt.
Work Environment:
Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet/humid conditions, extreme heat/cold, high places, outside weather, vibration, chemicals (aviation fuels, oils, lavatory fluid). Loud noise level.
Travel:
This position requires minimal travel.
Physical Requirements:
Must perform frequent walking, sitting, stooping, stretching, bending, reaching, and grasping actions. May work nights and weekends.
