Duties:
- Evaluate new case files and devise strategic action plans and litigation budgets

- Draft and respond to discovery requests, including document production
- Participate in depositions, hearings, and discovery-related proceedings
- Report developments and updates to clients and team members regularly
- Negotiate settlements, obtain client authority, and prepare for trial when needed
- Collaborate effectively with legal support staff for seamless case management
Requirements:
- Active license to practice law in North Carolina
- 1-5 years of litigation experience (insurance defense experience preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with clients and teams
- Ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in managing case timelines
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
- Bar Admission in North Carolina (Required)
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools
- Familiarity with case management systems and litigation workflows
- Strong writing and negotiation skills
- Capacity to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
