In-House Corporate Counsel; Onsite - Charlotte, NC

Overview

Latitude is partnering with a national leader in the insurance brokerage industry that is adding an in-house corporate counsel to their team. This role will be responsible for a wide variety of in-house corporate legal matters, including conducting corporate secretary and board work, preparing corporate resolutions, working on corporate transactions and related duties. The ideal candidate will have experience with corporate formation and governance, M&A and complex corporate transactions, and ideally securities law.

• Handle in-house corporate legal matters including corporate secretary and board work, preparing corporate resolutions, and related duties.
• Assist with corporate formation and governance matters, as well as M&A and complex corporate transactions.
• Work on securities law considerations where applicable.

• 5+ years of corporate law and M&A transactional experience, preferably with an Am Law 200 or boutique law firm and/or in-house legal department
• Securities law experience is a plus
• Insurance industry experience is also a plus
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with business teams
• Stellar analytical skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• JD from a top ABA-accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in any state
• Outstanding professional references

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role will be competitive, plus a significant bonus. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, and credentials. Benefits: A competitive benefits package is provided.
