Transactional Legal Word Processor

A well‑established AmLaw 200 firm with a growing Charlotte office is seeking a skilled Legal Word Processor to support its transactional practice. This opportunity is perfect for someone who excels in complex formatting, large‑scale document preparation, and delivering polished, accurate work in a fast‑paced environment.

You’ll join a collaborative group of transactional attorneys, providing advanced document production and helping streamline processes through template automation and strong technical skills. This role is onsite in the South End office.

• Prepare, edit, and format a range of transactional documents including loan agreements, financing documents, closing binders, and supporting deal materials.
• Build, revise, and maintain automated templates using Microsoft Word and other automation tools.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to implement document automation solutions that improve workflow and consistency.
• Proofread for accuracy, structure, and formatting.
• Troubleshoot document issues and provide advanced MS Word support.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to security protocols.

• Prior experience in a legal environment
  , ideally within transactional law or real estate finance.
• Experience with Contract Express, Hot Docs
  , or similar automation platforms (preferred).
• Familiarity with document management systems (Net Documents a plus).
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to learn new tools and adapt to evolving workflows.

$60,000–$75,000+, depending on experience and depth of automation/transactional document skills.
