A well-established law firm is seeking a junior to mid-level transactional attorney for its Capital Markets practice group in the Charlotte, NC office. The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial mortgage-backed securitization, including experience in origination, securitization, syndication, and/or participation in commercial mortgage loans and mezzanine loans. This position offers competitive compensation with the opportunity to work on high-profile transactions in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Duties- Participate in the origination, securitization, syndication, and/or participation of commercial mortgage loans and mezzanine loans.
- Perform due diligence and review of real estate related securities.
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents and agreements.
- Provide legal advice and strategic input on securities transactions.
- Manage multiple aspects of transactions, including client communication, legal research, and document preparation.
- Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to ensure successful execution of complex deals.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial mortgage-backed securitization or related areas.
- Strong background in real estate finance and securities law.
- Proven experience with origination, securitization, syndication, or participation of commercial mortgage loans and mezzanine loans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle complex transactions and manage competing deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Admission to practice in relevant state bar (or eligibility for admission).
- Strong transactional and legal research skills.
- Expertise in commercial mortgage-backed securitization and real estate finance.
- Proficiency in drafting and negotiating transaction documents.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
