Postgre SQL Administrator

Infosys is seeking a Postgres SQL Administrator with experience in database support activities, admin activities, and Amazon Aurora. This role requires hands‑on experience in Postgres SQL with Amazon Aurora database support activities.

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Charlotte, NC or willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel within the US.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

• At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.
• At least 3 years of experience in Postgres SQL, Amazon Aurora Database.
• Experience in Postgres SQL, Amazon Aurora Database.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Database monitoring tools – Cloud Watch, Dynatrace, Zabbix, Foglight, etc.
• Shell scripting – Linux.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Creative thinking in implementing service improvements (automation, incident reduction, etc.).
• Experienced in running operations following ITIL processes.
• Experience with leading geographically separated customers and onshore/offshore teams.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Certifications in Postgres SQL, Aurora Database.
• ITIL V3/V4 foundation certified.
• Ability to quickly grasp user’s technical aspects.
• MS SQL admin.
• Punctual & process oriented.
• Relationship building with customer and stakeholders.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
