Contract General Summary
We are seeking an IT Data Services Administrator to drive excellence by turning data into meaningful and actionable information. This role leverages and enhances enterprise software applications and infrastructure to support Business Intelligence (BI).
The successful candidate will design, maintain, and administer data warehousing solutions, including database administration, complex report execution, and building/maintaining interfaces and integrations. The ability to think strategically and execute with high attention to detail is essential.
- Data Architecture: Construct conceptual data schema models, validate data requirements, and create data file specifications.
- BI & Integration: Leverage enterprise systems such as Boomi, Where Scape, and Tableau to ensure systems meet business requirements and performance needs.
- Data Support: Provide data warehouse services, including instruction, training, consulting, and analytical services for key projects.
- Profiling & Cleansing: Profile data to uncover necessary cleansing rules and build transformation rules to ensure seamless data integration.
- Technical Liaison: Translate business requirements into technical specifications for internal and external stakeholders.
- Project Management: Perform as‑needed BI technology project management, serving as a liaison for hardware installations, server upgrades, and user training.
- Compliance: Monitor policies and practices to ensure data accessibility, integrity, and adherence to government regulations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years in data warehousing, database/server administration, and SQL.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages including SQL, Python, and Power Shell. - Knowledge: Deep understanding of data warehouse methodologies, governance, and security protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database components and develop creative technical solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in high‑pressure environments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for training and reporting.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
