Job Overview
One of our top customers is hiring an Active Directory Principal Engineer/Architect to work on critical workloads. This person will receive work in 3 major buckets:
1) Product backlog in JIRA - large variety of efforts including Data Center migration; hardware transformations; new server builds in lower environments and associated documentation, Technology Change Initiatives like managing vulnerabilities, evidence requests, new patterns or logging strategies for apps.
2) Initiatives from execs like CISO and other leaders
3) Supporting escalated production issues in lower environments on occasion. They will play the role of Solution Engineer and work across a variety of team to develop solutions to highly complex challenges that involve AD. Some of the major initiatives this team is addressing include:
1) DC migration - setting up new infrastructure for AD
2) Deploying AD infra into Cloud – running AD on prem in the private Azure cloud
3) Virtualization of domain controllers – Hyper
V (instead of just bare metal)
4) Strengthening and hardening work is constant
5) Domain segregation – prod vs non-prod; cleanup work
6) Support new authentication platforms
7) Linux integrations.
- Manage product backlog in JIRA, including data center migration, hardware transformations, new server builds in lower environments, and associated documentation.
- Execute technology change initiatives such as vulnerability management, evidence requests, new patterns or logging strategies for applications.
- Respond to initiatives from executives such as the CISO and other leaders.
- Support escalated production issues in lower environments on occasion.
- Act as a Solution Engineer to develop solutions to complex AD challenges.
- Lead or contribute to major initiatives: DC migration, deploying AD infrastructure into cloud, virtualization of domain controllers via Hyper
V, hardening efforts, domain segregation, authentication platform support, and Linux integrations.

Job Type & LocationContract position based out of Charlotte, NC. Hybrid.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00/hr.
