BIM / VDC Digital Delivery Lead

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Digital Delivery Lead / BIM Manager to oversee digital model environments and project-level deliverables. This role requires a strong command of interdisciplinary coordination, construction documentation workflows, and digital design tools. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure the successful execution of all digital deliverables while providing technical expertise, guidance, and mentorship to project teams.

You will play a pivotal role in maintaining model quality and integrity throughout the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities Leadership & Coordination
  • Provide direction and oversight for Digital Delivery Coordinators and Specialists.
  • Mentor team members and support skill development across the Digital Delivery group.
  • Guide Project Managers and fellow Digital Delivery Leads as needed.
Digital Model & Project Execution
  • Manage the digital model environment and ensure high-quality deliverables at the project level.
  • Support project teams in executing digital deliverables throughout all project phases.
  • Monitor and maintain model health and coordination workflows from planning through construction documentation.
Planning & Documentation
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to create and maintain the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project initiation procedures.
  • Generate and manage model setups, including project information and digital deliverable requirements.
  • Communicate deliverable schedules, coordination milestones, and documentation expectations.
Technical Support & Systems Oversight
  • Provide technical support for digital tools, software, and workflows.
  • Oversee document management systems and server infrastructures for multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Ensure teams have appropriate software access, tools, and training to meet project requirements.
  • Host Digital Delivery coordination meetings to ensure consistent quality control.
Communication
  • Engage in clear, effective communication with management, production teams, and clients.
  • Lead presentations and discussions related to digital deliverables and project workflows.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with digital design (BIM authoring) and digital delivery (model management).
  • Strong understanding of interdisciplinary coordination and building systems.
  • Advanced proficiency with 3D design tools and document management platforms.
  • Skilled in 3D coordination technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and communication tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, discipline codes, and technical specifications.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with automation and programming tools that support workflow efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of add-ins and supporting applications for 3D design software.
  • Strong understanding of content creation and content management principles.
  • Exceptional client service skills, written and verbal communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to balance technical support with project work.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to producing high‑quality results.
Work Environment

This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, with three days in the office and two days remote, subject to adjustment based on project needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
