Infrastructure Design Engineer; Cloud

10 is currently seeking an Infrastructure Design Engineer (Cloud) for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, or Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role will focus on modernizing processes and migrating applications to the cloud. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions for both on-premise and public cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on Terraform, AWS, and Azure. You will partner with internal architecture, engineering, and development teams to define design patterns and ensure solutions meet resiliency, security, and compliance standards.

• Design, develop, and manage infrastructure solutions for cloud environments, utilizing both on-premise (private) and public cloud infrastructure
• Partner with internal architecture teams to define design patterns to meet Active/Active resiliency
• Develop deployment solutions for CI/CD, with a primary focus on Continuous Delivery
• Design solutions for multiple regions and availability zones, including storage and network integration
• Collaborate with internal teams to set up appropriate access groups and restrictions
• Ensure all regulatory and compliance measures are met
• Monitor and assist with performance tuning
• Partner with Engineering, developers, and stakeholders to align strategies for stack modernization

• Proven experience migrating applications from on-premise to public cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
• Must have strong experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with design and implementation of cloud solutions
• Knowledge of containers (Open Shift/Kubernetes) and Redis
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools
• Experience with API design
• Technical skills including:
  Python, Snowflake, Rabbit
  
  MQ, Kafka, Mongo
  
  DB, Postgres, Tomcat
• Experience with AWS services such as Auto scaling, ECS, EFS, Lambda, Elasticache, RDS, Dynamo
  
  DB, Direct Connect
• Experience with Azure services such as Express Route, Azure AI Foundry, and Event Hub
• Strong leadership, communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Must be a team player capable of working as an integrated part of a larger team

• Azure certification
• Google Cloud certification
• Previous experience in the financial industry

Pay range: $67.46 - $75.46 per hour
