We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer/ Data Engineer to join our Fortune 200 Energy and Utility client’s Marketing Analytics team. This position will focus on optimizing existing Python data pipelines, implementing best practices for code documentation and version control, and developing comprehensive Power BI data models to support marketing analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Business Intelligence & Analytics- Design and architect scalable marketing data infrastructure that supports current and future analytical needs.
- Design and develop Power BI data models tailored for marketing analytics
- Create interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable marketing insights
- Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to understand analytical requirements
- Build and automate marketing dashboards using Microsoft Power BI
- Design PBI dashboard templates to achieve goals each line of business (LOB)
- Optimize data models for performance and scalability
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all BI solutions
- Use Python to perform advanced data analysis, modeling and automation
- Develop scripts to streamline marketing reporting, anomaly detection and audience segmentation
- Develop audience segmentation and clustering models to identify high-value customer groups and optimize campaign targeting
- Develop data pipelines and ETL processes to integrate GA4 with other marketing platforms and data products.
- Maintain and optimize existing Python scripts for data extraction and file transfer processes
- Debug and troubleshoot data pipeline issues to ensure reliable data flow
- Ensure all code adheres to security protocols and compliance requirements
- Document all code and processes in Git Hub with clear, maintainable documentation
- Create technical documentation and data governance frameworks to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Clean up and refactor existing codebase for improved maintainability
- Establish coding standards and documentation protocols
- Conduct code reviews and ensure quality assurance processes
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or business intelligence roles
- Strong proficiency in Python programming and data manipulation libraries
- Extensive experience with Power BI development and data modeling
- Solid understanding of marketing analytics concepts and KPIs
- Experience with Git Hub and version control systems
- Knowledge of data security protocols and compliance requirements
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Command of Google Analytics / Google Big Query (GBQ)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS)
- Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems (Sales Cloud)
- Command of SQL and database management systems
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices
- Understanding of statistical analysis and data science concepts
- Certification in Power BI or related BI tools
- Successful documentation and cleanup of existing Python codebase within first 90 days
- Implementation of robust error reporting system
- Development of comprehensive Power BI data models for marketing analytics
- Reduction in data pipeline errors and improved system reliability
- Enhanced marketing insights through improved BI solutions

Hybrid (3 days in office per week) - Compensation: $64/hr
- 12-month W2 Contract (strong potential for extension or conversion)
