We are seeking an accomplished QA Automation Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the Payments and Banking industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing automation testing frameworks using Selenium and Java, along with a deep understanding of payment processes, banking standards, and compliance requirements. This role involves creating scalable automation solutions, ensuring quality in complex financial systems, and collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams.

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $90k - $100k/year & benefits (see below).

• Develop, enhance, and maintain automated testing frameworks using Selenium Web Driver and Java for banking and payments applications.
• Design, execute, and maintain automation scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product teams to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test strategies.
• Automate API testing using tools like Rest Assured, Postman, or SOAP UI.
• Integrate automation scripts within CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and deployment.
• Perform manual testing when required to identify exploratory and edge cases.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and regulatory standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 20022, and SWIFT in test scenarios.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, frameworks, and test execution results.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best testing practices.

• Over 10 years of experience in QA automation, with at least 7 years focused on Selenium Web Driver and Java.
• Strong understanding of Payments and Banking systems, standards, and protocols.
• Proven experience in automating complex workflows in financial applications.
• Familiarity with testing REST and SOAP web services.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git Lab, or Azure Dev Ops.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to lead automation efforts and mentor team members.

• Industry certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or specific certifications in Payments or Banking.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards like PCI DSS, ISO 20022, or SWIFT.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Load Runner.
