IMS Database Administrator (Contract) – Charlotte, North Carolina (Remote options available)

Hourly rate: $36.09 – $41.09 USD

Open Kyber is hiring for a contract-based IMS Database Administrator role. The position requires 2+ years of Database Engineering experience, robust UNIX (SLES) skills, and expertise in Teradata software. This role supports specialized Teradata infrastructure and is not an Application DBA.

• Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Database Engineering.
• Review and analyze basic or tactical Database Engineering assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives related to low‑to‑medium risk deliverables.
• Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing an understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Provide information to client personnel in Database Engineering.

• 2+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent through work/consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Experience with Teradata’s Data Mover, Viewpoint, Query Grid, and BCM software support.
• Required robust UNIX (SLES) skill.
• Certificate Management support.
• Vulnerability Management support.
• Data Domain and Object Store support.
• Ansible and EPLX support.
• Experience with Teradata Vantage Cloud Lake setup and support.
• General AI experience.
