The Senior Python Engineer serves as the primary backend engineering authority supporting enterprise Python REST services integrated with Postgre

SQL databases and DBT transformations. This role emphasizes advanced SQL optimization, database performance tuning, and resilient containerized service design.

• Design, maintain, and enhance Python REST APIs integrated with PostgreSQL
• Perform advanced SQL tuning and execution plan analysis
• Optimize database interaction layers (ORM and raw SQL)
• Diagnose locking, deadlocks, and long-running queries
• Implement connection pooling strategies for containerized services
• Collaborate with DBT and SQL engineers to ensure transformation integrity
• Support CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments

• Optimized API performance and reduced database latency
• Improved MTTR through structured root cause analysis
• Enhanced observability and DB error diagnostics
• Hardened containerized service deployments

• 7+ years Python development (Flask/FastAPI preferred)
• Advanced Postgre

• Strong SQL performance optimization experience
