** Our challenge
** We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer candidate can design, deploy, manage, and optimize complex on-premises and cloud-based systems, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.

Additional Information The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $90k - $95k/year & benefits (see below).
** The Role
**** Responsibilities:
*** Design & Architecture:
Lead the design and implementation of scalable, robust infrastructure solutions (cloud, network, server).
* Operational Excellence:
Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot production systems, including OS, middleware, and database, to ensure high availability.
* Automation & IaC:
Develop scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) and use tools to automate deployment (CI/CD) and configuration management.
* Security & Compliance:
Enforce security policies, perform vulnerability patching, and manage security configurations.
* Leadership:
Mentor junior engineers, act as a high-level escalation point, and guide technical projects.
* Capacity Planning:
Analyze performance data to forecast resource needs and optimize cost-effective infrastructure.
** Requirements:
*** Experience level 7+ years.
* Very strong experience in XML (xml schemas, wsdl).
* Strong communication skills (interaction and coordination with multiple integration teams).
* Log analysis and debugging experience.
* Service Now change management and documentation.
* Good understanding networking messaging systems and data transmission.
* Strong experience with infrastructure support.
* Basic understanding of DB and SQL queries.
** Preferred, but not required:
*** Cloud Certification (AWS Sys Ops, Azure Administrator).
* Linux certification (RHCE).
* ITIL Foundation certification.
