Power BI Architecture

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Architect / Senior Power BI Engineer to lead the migration of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to Power BI for a large-scale enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Power BI Cloud
, Microsoft Fabric
, and One Lake
, and will play a key role in defining architecture, implementation, and governance standards within a regulated financial services environment.

• Lead and support the migration of SSRS reports to Power BI
• Design and implement Power BI cloud architecture
  , ensuring scalability and security
• Work through Permit to Operate (PTO) and compliance processes
• Finalize and document Power BI implementation architecture
• Set up and maintain a strong Power BI foundation in collaboration with cloud and infrastructure teams
• Manage Power BI capacities
  , including dedicated Power BI instances or Fabric capacity
• Ensure best practices for performance optimization, governance, and security
• Partner with stakeholders across business, data, and cloud teams to deliver analytics solutions

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (Cloud)
• Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric and One Lake implementation
• Experience managing Power BI Premium / Fabric Capacity
• Solid understanding of enterprise BI architecture
• Experience working in large, regulated environments (banking/financial services preferred)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Knowledge of Big Data architectures and cloud computing platforms
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Hadoop / Hive
  • Apache Spark
  • Kafka
  • Neo4j
  • MongoDB
• Experience with speech-to-text technologies
• Interest in leveraging modern and emerging technologies to drive innovation in the financial domain
