Senior Director, Freight Forwarding Technology & Integration Services – Americas

The Senior Director, Freight Forwarding Technology & Integration Services is responsible for end-to-end technology leadership for the Freight Forwarding business across the Americas, ensuring technology solutions enable operational performance, commercial growth, customer experience, and integration across the DP World network. This role serves as the primary technology leader and interface for the Freight Forwarding business in the Americas, owning technology strategy, delivery, and operational alignment for Freight Forwarding systems and capabilities.

In addition, this role owns Regional Integration Services, including EDI and API-based integrations, operating as a shared service supporting Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, and Ports & Terminals.

FREIGHT FORWARDING TECHNOLOGY LEADERSHIP

• Own the regional Freight Forwarding technology strategy, roadmap, and execution in alignment with business objectives and Group Technology standards
• Act as the primary technology counterpart to Americas Freight Forwarding leadership, ensuring strong alignment between business priorities and technology delivery
• Ensure Freight Forwarding systems, platforms, and integrations support growth, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and customer experience
• Represent Technology on Freight Forwarding leadership forums and business reviews as required

DELIVERY AND EXECUTION

• Lead regional technology teams and partners responsible for delivering Freight Forwarding technology solutions, enhancements, and operational support
• Oversee execution of Freight Forwarding technology initiatives, ensuring delivery commitments are met with appropriate quality, cost, and risk management
• Serve as senior escalation point for Freight Forwarding technology issues, delivery risks, and operational incidents
• Partner with Group Technology and shared services to ensure effective delivery while representing Americas business needs

INTEGRATION SERVICES (EDI & APIs – REGIONAL SHARED SERVICES)

• Own and operate Regional Integration Services, including EDI, API, and system-to-system integrations
• Ensure integration capabilities support Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, and Ports & Terminals consistently across the Americas
• Establish integration standards, onboarding processes, and operational support models in alignment with Group architecture and security requirements
• Drive expansion of integration capabilities beyond traditional EDI to support modern APIs, real-time data exchange, and partner ecosystems
• Act as the single regional point of accountability for customer and partner integrations

COMMERCIAL AND CUSTOMER ENABLEMENT

• Support Freight Forwarding commercial teams in customer engagements, RFQs, tenders, and solution design
• Provide sign-off on Freight Forwarding technology solutions, costs, and implementation approaches for new business and contract renewals
• Engage directly with customers, where required, to represent technology capabilities and integration approaches

FINANCIAL AND VENDOR MANAGEMENT

• Own Freight Forwarding technology budgets within the Americas, including operating and investment spend
• Partner with Finance, Procurement, and Governance functions to ensure cost transparency, forecasting, and value realization
• Manage vendors and technology partners delivering Freight Forwarding and integration services, including performance against SLAs

LEADERSHIP AND COLLABORATION

• Lead and develop high-performing regional teams across Freight Forwarding technology and Integration Services
• Foster strong collaboration across Core Platforms, Data & AI, Enterprise Systems, Contract Logistics, and Ports & Terminals Technology
• Ensure transformation initiatives within Freight Forwarding are executed by embedding change within delivery, not through standalone transformation programs
