Application Support Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Application Support Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid). You will be responsible for monitoring and supporting applications to ensure 100% SLA compliance, troubleshooting production issues, and preparing RCA documents.

$52/hour to $55/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Provide application support for critical applications in the Payments space.
• Monitor and support applications to ensure 100% SLA compliance.
• Provide on‑call support and triage production tickets/issues.
• Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documents for issues.
• Partner with application teams, CCO, and support teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare and review Impact Analysis based on issue analysis.
• Automate daily business-as‑usual (BAU) tasks by writing scripts.
• Support after office hours, at weekends, and stay on call when needed.
• Identify root causes in code and suggest break‑fix activities in the code and/or database.
• Follow the release management and code deployment process to migrate code changes.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in application support, with a focus on critical applications in the Payments space.
• Strong experience with Java/J2EE, SQL, and Splunk for troubleshooting and monitoring.
• Hands‑on experience with Unix/Linux scripting and understanding of database terminologies.

$52.00 to $55.00 per hour
