Payrate: $65.00 - 70.24/hr

• Full Cloudera software stack experience in a 24x7 production environment
• 6+ years of experience with Cloudera implementations
• Proactively monitoring database performance and troubleshooting issues
• Optimize queries, fix performance bottlenecks, improve existing schemas and design new ones
• Able to create various Cloudera Clustering configurations
• Creating and maintaining change control and testing processes, reviewing and approving database modifications
• Able to create enterprise backups and restore procedures
• Creating and maintaining documentation, troubleshooting playbooks, testing failover and recovery plans
• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Exceptional SQL development and performance tuning skills
• Experience architecting a large-scale production database platform
• Expertise with Cloudera system metrics and optimization strategies
• Familiarity with system level metrics and practical use of common Linux utilities
• Mastery of one or more scripting languages:
  Python, Bash, etc
• Understanding of virtualization and clustered environments
• Great communication skills and the ability for both teaching and learning
