AI Engineer

This role is for an AI Engineer (Generative AI & MLOps) in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) from March 2, 2026, to December 25, 2026, offering $60.00 – $70.00/hour. Requires expertise in Azure AI Services, NLP, and MLOps; preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified:
Azure AI Engineer Associate.

$60.00 – $70.00 per hour (USD)

• Develop & deploy scalable AI models using VS Code, Databricks, Azure AI Studio, and secure monitoring pipelines.
• Build and manage autonomous AI agents for enterprise-level automation.
• Integrate AI services into web applications via SDK-based clients, REST endpoints, and task queues.
• Ensure model registry and runtime security, complying with data‑privacy standards.
• Monitor and fine‑tune NLP/LLM performance for reliability and accuracy in a financial context.
• Collaborate with Dev Ops to design secure, continuous‑delivery pipelines.

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Deep understanding of large language models, NLP, and machine‑learning algorithms.
• Proven experience with Azure AI Services (OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Bot Service) and the Databricks ecosystem.
• Experience building production‑grade AI infrastructure with Azure AI Studio and Databricks.
• Backend development fluency (Python, FastAPI, Django, or Flask) and secure REST API design.
• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) for standardized API integration.
• Preferred certifications:
  Microsoft Certified:
  Azure AI Engineer Associate or Databricks Certified:
  Generative AI Engineer.
