Corporate Accounting Engine Transformation Lead. Duration 6-12+ months. 100% Remote; relocation to Charlotte, NC or Des Moines, IA. Hourly Rate $81.88/hr.
Top Requirements- Former Controller or Accounting Manager with strong AR/Accounting operations background.
- Deep understanding of accounting application workflows in large enterprise environments.
- Hands‑on contributor with implementation lifecycle experience: requirements gathering, design/development reviews, testing (SIT/UAT), and validation.
- Experience translating accounting needs into clear functional requirements for technology teams.
- Strong collaborator with business, IT, and project stakeholders.
- Lead deep‑dive work sessions with accounting domain partners and document high‑quality accounting requirements.
- Build test strategies and plans; write and execute test scripts.
- Communicate practices and procedures for proper financial control functions in accordance with internal controls policies.
- Provide guidance or mentorship to peers or junior team members.
- Act as internal consultant and provide strategic consultation to leadership.
- Lead implementation of complex projects impacting multiple lines of business or across the enterprise.
- Identify compliance and risk management requirements and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives.
- Serve as liaison between IT and finance/accounting functions to align accounting requirements across the General Ledger ecosystem.
- 5+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, or Risk Reporting experience.
- Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, testing, training, deployment for accounting systems.
- Experience with computer‑based accounting systems.
- Experience gathering accounting requirements for system building.
- Experience leading complex projects impacting multiple lines of business or across the enterprise.
- Strong written, analytical, and oral communication skills.
- Experience with large‑scale financial banking system implementations.
- Understanding of GAAP and multi‑currency General Ledger ecosystems.
- Experience using big data/Cloud/query data tools.
- Ability to build business relationships with multiple stakeholder groups in accounting and technology.
