Novant Health’s Institute for Innovation & AI (II&AI) is pioneering AI-native solutions that create measurable impact for patients, clinicians, and operations. The Senior Director of AI Product Strategy & Development will champion II&AI’s “north star” product vision, lead cross‑functional teams, and drive AI innovation that aligns with Novant’s mission.

• Overall Leadership – Own the product operating model for II&AI, ensuring clarity on the “Who? What? Why?” for all AI product investments.
• Product Discovery – Own and drive the customer working‑backwards process, product design tenets, artifacts, and market feedback to inform direction.
• Product Vision & Strategy – Own the product North Star, investment model, innovation, experimentation, and commercialization framework.
• Product Planning & Development – Prioritize releases, capacity projections, pricing models, and cross‑functional dependencies; own launch prioritization.
• Collaboration with Development & Technical Teams – Incorporate engineering innovations, make tradeoffs, verify QA/testing, and sign off on launch readiness.
• Product Launch – Own launch plans, stakeholder messaging, customer & operational readiness, and coordinate successful releases.
• Product Operations – Monitor performance metrics, customer feedback, continuous improvement, and business growth.
• Product Performance & Business Reporting – Track trends, publish weekly reports, lead stakeholder reviews, and recommend next steps based on impact.

• Education – 4‑Year/ Bachelor’s Degree required. Minimum in Data Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Experience
  • 10+ years in Technology Development roles
  • 7+ years in Consumer, Tech or Healthcare industry
  • 5+ years in Product Leadership (managing product teams)
  • 5+ years operating in an SVPG framework or similar outcome‑driven model
  • 3+ years delivering products in AI, Data Science, and/or Advanced Analytics
• Required Skills – New organization creation, transformation leadership, business analysis, user‑centered design, product development, change management, budget management, team leadership; strong technology skills and experience with cloud‑native and AI‑related products.
• Preferred Skills – Willingness to travel to Novant leadership meetings 1–2 times per year.
