Role: MacOS Engineer

Terms: 18 Months

Compensation: Hourly Rate: $70 - $80 per hour – This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled macOS Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and support applications and system solutions on Apple macOS platforms. The ideal candidate has strong experience with macOS internals, automation, security, and device management in enterprise environments.

• Design, develop, and maintain macOS applications, tools, and scripts.
• Manage macOS systems using MDM solutions (Jamf, Kandji, Intune, Workspace ONE).
• Automate deployments, configurations, and updates using Bash, Python, or Swift.
• Troubleshoot macOS issues related to OS, hardware, networking, and applications.
• Implement and enforce macOS security standards, policies, and compliance.
• Package and deploy software using PKG, DMG, and scripting methods.
• Collaborate with IT, security, and Dev Ops teams to support enterprise needs.
• Document system configurations, processes, and best practices.

• 3+ years of experience supporting or developing on macOS.
• Strong knowledge of macOS architecture, file systems, and command line tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Swift.
• Hands‑on experience with MDM tools (Jamf preferred).
• Experience with macOS security features (Gatekeeper, SIP, File Vault).
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
