Job Summary
The QA Lead will drive end‑to‑end testing strategy and execution for large‑scale payment programs such as ISO 20022 migration, US RTP, and US Wires modernization. The role requires strong expertise in QA automation, test management, and data validation within complex financial systems. The individual will ensure quality delivery across multiple projects in Agile and Waterfall environments, collaborating with global teams and adhering to enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities- Own E2E testing strategy and execution for payment modernization initiatives.
- Design, develop, and maintain test plans, scripts, and artifacts for all phases of testing.
- Perform system and data analysis, integration testing, and data quality validation.
- Analyze and test DDCT mappings, workflows, sessions, and middleware jobs.
- Ensure compliance with locally defined QA standards and governance.
- Manage parallel projects in fast‑paced environments using Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business partners to resolve defects and improve quality.
- 7+ years of QA/software testing experience (functional, integration, regression).
- 5+ years in high‑value payments or banking (US Wires – Fedwire, CHIPS, SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022).
- 3+ years as QA Lead owning test strategy and execution.
- Strong hands‑on experience with test automation using tools such as Selenium, Rest Assured, JUnit/TestNG, or similar.
- Experience testing Java/Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, and event‑driven flows (Kafka or other messaging platforms).
- Good SQL skills and experience validating data in Oracle (or similar RDBMS), including complex joins and reconciliation.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, qTest, ALM, Zephyr).
- Experience working in CI/CD environments (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab, Azure Dev Ops) and integrating automated tests into pipelines.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and basic shell scripting.
- Knowledge of wire‑domain message formats (SWIFT MT, ISO 20022 MX) and validation of key data elements and rules.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with developers, product owners, and business/operations partners.
