It offers continuous support by employing targeted, evidence-based interventions, significantly enhancing patient outcomes and making a meaningful difference in their health journey.

Role

Summary

As a Data Scientist, you will become an integral part of our Data team, tasked with developing and enhancing our analytical capabilities to support our mission in the chronic disease space. Your role will involve modeling data and crafting visualizations to communicate with stakeholders, providing insights that inform decisions and actions. Ideal candidates will have experience handling healthcare data, including claims, prior authorizations, and electronic health records.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will work closely with our Product, Engineering, Clinical, and Operations teams to pinpoint opportunities for improving outcomes and monitoring the effectiveness of our interventions for our members and clients. Your contributions will be crucial in establishing strong relationships with healthcare providers by developing data products that support practice transformation initiatives.

After three months, you will have:

  • Developed a comprehensive understanding of our data platform, contributing to the enhancement of our data models and pipelines.
  • Established connections with practices and providers in the chronic disease sector, showcasing our expertise in creating data and analytics products.
  • Worked alongside stakeholders to grasp their business needs and translate these into technical specifications. This includes creating data models, pipelines, and analytics dashboards using tools like Looker or RStudio. For instance, you might employ dbt to construct models that assess medical claims data for identifying the utilization of value care across practices or to evaluate the distribution of medical care among our members and its influence on out-of-pocket expenses.

After 6 months, you will:

  • Assume responsibility for and lead the development of data models that assess the impact of our interventions with practices, sharing findings both internally and externally.
  • Become a pivotal figure in enhancing our data infrastructure and devising a roadmap for a scalable and modular data architecture to accommodate our team's expansion.
  • Take charge of developing utilization and quality metrics, becoming the primary contact for stakeholder queries. You will also use our data resources to explore business opportunities and strategic initiatives.
