Horizon is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Business Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into actionable insights through reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Microsoft Power BI and Postgre
SQL, with strong experience building data models, developing dashboards, and validating data accuracy. Experience with Python for analytics and automation is strongly preferred. This role plays a key part in improving reporting efficiency, operational insight, and overall analytical maturity at Horizon.
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into analytical solutions and reporting deliverables.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and data models using Microsoft Power BI to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide business-wide insights.
- Apply DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query M language to build complex metrics, calculations, and data transformations within Power BI.
- Write complex SQL queries in Postgre
SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data. - Conduct thorough data validation and testing of reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of all displayed information.
- Build and maintain reusable datasets and data assets to support scalable reporting and analytics.

- Support ad‑hoc analytical requests as needed.
- Maintain and support various recurring processes.
- Experience using Python for data analysis, automation, ETL scripting, or API integration (e.g., Pandas, Num Py, Scikit-learn).
- Ability to automate recurring reporting and analytics workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Experience with advanced statistical analysis, predictive modeling, or trend and anomaly detection.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and BI best practices.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
- Experience working with Salesforce data or reporting environments.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in business analytics, business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
- Strong SQL skills with hands‑on experience using Postgre
SQL. - Experience working with relational databases and building ETL logic.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to clearly communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with AWS or cloud-based infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use basic formulas like IF statements and lookup functions to analyze and validate data effectively.
