Overview
SAP Manager/SAP works in close collaboration with business partners, internal and external development teams and other IT staff to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications. This position participates in the development of technical and workflow solutions, analyzes SAP application solutions options, and delivers final solutions to the business using reports, presentations and visual aids. Provides leadership with business subject matter experts, developers and quality assurance staff to ensure deliverables are met, and mentors members of the IT team.
Utilizes information systems to improve efficiency and recommends new system implementations or upgrades to meet customer and Company requirements. Works on blended project teams to deliver projects supporting the Company’s short- and long-term strategic roadmap. Guides implementation of SAP modules using internal and external IT resources.
Position: SAP Specialist/Manager
Duration: 12-months
Location: Charlotte, NC | Open to candidates from Cincinnati, OH
Pay: $60-70/hr W2 ONLY, NO C2C
Base pay range: $60.00/hr - $70.00/hr
ResponsibilitiesThe role collaborates with business partners, IT teams and external resources to translate requirements into SAP configurations, develop technical and workflow solutions, analyze options, and deliver SAP solutions to the business. Activities include governance and leadership in delivering on SAP modules, mentoring IT staff, conducting system analysis, creating related documentation, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective end-user support and performance improvements.
Qualifications- Strong SAP functional module experience, including configuring the specific SAP modules listed in this job description
- Systems testing and IT implementation experience
- Excellent analytical skills and a sense of urgency
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience with process mapping
- Organized with the ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and manage multiple tasks and projects
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with change management and continual improvement
- Demonstrated fluency in business processes and process differentiation
- Ability to analyze and synthesize business requirements and conceptualize processes
- Supervisory experience and SAP certification and/or a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business or Computer Science from an accredited university is preferred
- Perform project analyses and produce concept materials (flowcharts, narratives, and scenarios) to deliver solutions
- Triage and troubleshoot incidents; propose solutions and monitor vendor tickets; perform root cause analysis
- Prioritize changes and communicate status to the business
- Identify improvement opportunities related to SAP
- Gather and analyze data to understand business strategy requirements
- Evaluate current processes to identify improvements or inefficiencies and propose innovative solutions
- Communicate with multiple stakeholders to keep project results up to date
- Configure SAP functional modules and maintain configuration documentation
- Comply with change management processes when moving configurations to production
- Participate in SOX and General Computing Controls as related to SAP
- May authorize use of SAP GRC firefighter accounts and review related outputs
- Maintain liaison with business partners and IT to align support efforts
- Maintain liaison with third-party vendors and manage vendor SLAs
- Contribute to short- and long-term planning and provide feedback on goals and strategy
- Develop and monitor testing plans, test scripts, and collaborate with developers during testing
- Develop productivity tools and KPIs for multiple delivery methods
- Develop scripts and queries for data analysis and troubleshooting
- Bridge between developers and business to support reports and reporting tools
- Coordinate tests with third-party service providers
- Understand the Company’s core business related to SAP modules
- Ensure customer satisfaction with application performance and collaborate with infrastructure teams to mitigate issues
- Maintain communication with the user community about system updates or enhancements
- Facilitate new system integration through configuration and testing
- Mentor analysts and manage workload
- Assess business needs using a structured requirement process to identify priorities and provide recommendations
- Develop, write, and communicate business requirements and functional/technical specs; maintain specs in Solution Manager
