Lead Technical Business Systems Consultant – Workday

Location:
Charlotte, NC (Onsite)

Pay: $82+/hr W2 ONLY, NO C2C

We are seeking a Lead Technical Business Systems Analyst with strong Workday functional expertise to support the design and development of a new application built on Workday Extend
, focused on workforce development and management. This role will work closely with an existing product team, serving as the bridge between business stakeholders, Workday platform capabilities, and technical delivery teams. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of Workday HCM and reporting, strong requirements and test strategy skills, and experience translating complex business needs into scalable Workday-based solutions.

• Lead requirements gathering and analysis for a new Workday Extend application supporting workforce development and management.
• Partner with business stakeholders and product teams to define business processes, functional requirements, and user stories.
• Translate business requirements into technical and functional specifications aligned to Workday HCM and Workday Extend capabilities.
• Collaborate with developers and architects to design scalable and maintainable Extend applications.
• Define and execute test strategies
  , including test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing.
• Provide functional expertise on Workday HCM configuration, data structures, and business processes.
• Develop and maintain Workday Reporting solutions to support application and business needs.
• Serve as a liaison between HR, workforce development teams, and technical delivery teams.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, data governance, and security requirements.
• Support deployment, post-launch stabilization, and continuous improvement.

• Experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Technical Business Analyst on Workday-focused initiatives.
• Strong functional knowledge of Workday HCM

• Experience with Workday Reporting and data extraction.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, and test strategy development

• Experience working on application development projects or product teams.
• Ability to translate complex business processes into Workday-based solutions.

• Hands-on experience with Workday Extend application development.
• Experience with Workday Prism Analytics
  .
• Prior experience leading BSA or functional work streams.
• Familiarity with Agile or product-based delivery models.
