Job Description
Apex Systems is seeking a Single Sign-On (SSO) Production Support Engineer for a large financial client. This is a 12‑24 month contract position that requires a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) at one of the approved locations. Candidates must be comfortable working a monthly on‑call rotation. The role focuses on Tier 2 support for SSO platforms and requires in‑depth knowledge of SSO technologies and protocols.
Pay Range: $53–57/hr.
Contract Length: 12–24 months.
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote).

- Manage incidents around SSO platforms and integrated applications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in client applications using monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
- Provide Tier 2 support for SSO technologies and protocols.
- Perform root‑cause analysis for failures within the environment.
- 4+ years of experience with information security applications and systems.
- 2+ years of installation, configuration, and support of SSO platforms such as Okta or Ping.
- Experience supporting applications in a distributed, highly available, mission‑critical environment.
- Proficiency in Agent‑Based, Web‑Based, and Federated Authentication and Authorization standards.
- Hands‑on experience with OAuth, OpenID Connect, FIDO, SAML 2.0.
- Experience using monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, etc.) and performing log investigations.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
- Knowledge of LDAP, Active Directory, MFA, risk‑based authentication, and privileged access management.
- Familiarity with IAM solutions on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Understanding of complex enterprise systems and frameworks.
- Technical writing skills for storage, middleware, or virtualization.
- Experience on bridge and triage calls.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes containerization.
