Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and govern a portfolio of complex IT programs, spanning infrastructure, telecom, networking, end-user services, ITSM, ERP, finance, HR, commercial, and operations applications.
  • Establish and enforce enterprise PMO frameworks, including governance structures, charters, RACI matrices, program plans, and portfolio reporting.
  • Oversee project managers and cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration, accountability, and adherence to program governance standards.
  • Host steering committees (Steer Co) and governance forums, delivering clear updates on progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and decision points for executive leadership.
  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations across multiple domains, ensuring financial discipline and delivery efficiency.
  • Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies across the IT portfolio, developing proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with SOx and internal control requirements across all IT initiatives.
  • Standardize program management practices and tools, driving consistency, transparency, and performance across IT.
  • Partner with IT leadership and business stakeholders to define and deliver IT services for our third-party services business, ensuring scalability, quality, and productization of offerings.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and results, while developing PMO maturity and best practices.
Working Conditions
  • This position is located in our Charlotte, NC Corporate Office.
Required/Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, or other related discipline.
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience.
  • In lieu of bachelor's degree, high school diploma/GED AND 13 years or more years of related work experience.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, or related field;
    Master's degree preferred.
  • Ten or more years of progressive program/project management experience, including enterprise-wide IT program leadership.
  • Proven success leading PMO governance frameworks across multiple IT domains (infrastructure, networking, applications, end-user services, and vendor-delivered solutions).
  • Experience with ERP and financial systems (Net Suite preferred), ITSM platforms, and middleware/API integrations.
  • Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills, with experience managing multi-vendor delivery models.
  • Demonstrated success delivering programs in SOx/audit-compliant environments.
  • PMP, PgMP, or other advanced program/portfolio management certification required.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills, with ability to influence C-level stakeholders.
  • Experience defining and productizing IT services for external/third-party business units is a strong asset.
