Job Summary

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Data Engineer
. Position type:
Full-time, Contract. Duration: 12 months (with high possibilities of extension).

Location:

Charlotte, NC (Hybrid 3 days onsite 2 days remote). This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.

• Strong data skill set - experience working with complex data sets and analysing them using Teradata and Hadoop.
• Immediate contributor with an analytical mindset; able to dig into data and map its flow. Create complex scripts and demonstrate strong analytical skillset.
• Code design and delivery tasks associated with the integration, cleaning, transformation and control of data in analytics data systems for mobile and online data for consumer and wealth managementുണ.
• Work with stakeholders, Product Owners, and other data engineers to aid in the implementation of data requirements, analyse performance, conduct research and troubleshoot any issues.
• Proficient in data engineering practices and extensive experience using design and architectural patterns.
• Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements.
• Code complex solutions to integrate, clean, transform and control data in operational and/or analytics data systems per defined acceptance criteria.
• Assist the team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non‑functional requirements.
• Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependencies and workload management.
• Define and build data pipelines that enable faster, better, data‑informed decision‑making within the business.
• Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyse test reports, identify test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause.
• Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
• Adhere to team delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to code deployment and release.

• Identify gaps in data management standards adherence and work with partners to develop plans to close gaps.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior Data Engineers and coach the team on CI‑CD practices and automated tool stack.

• Bachelor драй's Degree or equivalent working experience.
• 7+ years’ experience as an Analyst or Developer.
• 5+ years of advanced SQL experience and understanding of relational databases.
• 5+ years of experience with Teradata and utilities (BTEQ, TPT, etc).
• 3+ years of experience working on PySpark, Impala/Hive.
• Working knowledge of Agile software delivery practices.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Access, SharePoint).
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and planning capabilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills, problem solving, attention to detail, and timeline management.
• Ability to communicate with both business and technology partners effectively.
• Scheduling software experience with Autosys.
• Shell scripting experience.
• Experience with Bitbucket, Git Hub, Ansible.

• Experience with Oracle, Tableau, .NET, Autosys, JIRA, Data Management tools, Git Hub CoPilot.
• Knowledge of Global Technology, Enterprise Data Management & Enterprise Data Architecture programs, strategies and standards.
• 3+ years of service in the financial industry with reporting and development experience.
