Our client in the financial services industry is seeking an AI Engineer to join their team. As an AI Engineer you will sit within the employee experience technology group and be responsible for internal AI employee applications.

Job Title: AI Engineer (Generative AI)

Location: Charlotte, NC

Pay Range: Market rate

• Be responsible for building or optimizing data science solutions and help the business to address complex problems.
• Candidate should be ready to do hands‑on coding, this is a developer position.
• Machine learning, NLP, deep learning, statistical modeling and use of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
• Hands‑on in implementing LLM models, Gen‑AI models, OpenAI APIs.

• 5 years of hands‑on experience (not in a research or schooling capacity rather in an enterprise environment).
• Strong hands‑on design and development experience in Python, expertise in Python preferred.
• Hands‑on experience in large language models (LLMs).
• Experience with data visualization tools.
• Worked on the data analysis libraries like pandas.
• Experience in web API calls.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience working with Agile methodology.
• Knowledge on textual data preprocessing.
• Generating embeddings/tokenization.
• Understanding on transfer‑based models.
• Knowledge on GenAI.
• Knowledge in prompt engineering.
• Knowledge on text generation.
• Hands‑on experience in natural language processing (NLP).
• Designing pipeline for training and evaluating NLP models.
• Technical implementation (cloud and on‑prem).
• Knowledge on deploying the model in production.

• Long‑term employment (12–18‑month contract).
