Assistant Director - Engineering, Digital Trust & Transparency
We’re looking for an Assistant Director of Engineering to join our Digital Trust & Transparency (DTT) team, which supports enterprise customers with scalable, secure platforms for Consent and Preference Management, Data Privacy Management, and Customer Protection Notices. You’ll lead a product‑centric engineering team, set technical direction, coach engineers, and partner with Product, Architecture, Marketing, Security, Privacy, Legal, and Data Governance to translate policy into resilient, customer‑safe capabilities used across the enterprise.
WhatYou'll Do
- Own engineering strategy and delivery for Digital Trust & Transparency products; drive reliability, scalability, security, and observability.
- Build and mentor a high‑performing engineering team that delivers consistently through a product mindset and agile principles.
- Operationalize privacy and regulatory requirements (GDPR/CCPA/TCPA) via platform controls, audit trails, and versioning embedded in the lifecycle.
- Integrate across the enterprise to enforce consent states and propagate preferences across channels using event‑driven and API‑first patterns.
- Partner across Product, Marketing, Privacy, Legal, Security, and Data Governance to prioritize outcomes and align roadmaps to enterprise needs.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, engineering or math‑related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of enterprise‑level technical experience, demonstrating progressive responsibility and impact.
- Formal people leadership experience, coaching team members on best engineering practices.
- Ability to work with multi‑functional teams and collaborate with both IT and non‑IT partners at all levels.
- 4+ years of technology leadership managing and mentoring direct reports; proven ability to build strong teams and cultivate a culture of accountability.
- Experience working with third‑party solutions, developing and managing integrations, and vendor management.
- Experience architecting distributed systems (APIs, microservices, eventing) with strong observability and SRE practices.
- Practical knowledge of data privacy and consent frameworks and vendors (One Trust, Possible Now, etc).
- Cloud proficiency (AWS preferred) and modern Dev Ops tooling.
- Background in consent/preference platforms or customer protection notifications integrated with enterprise data ecosystems.
