Overview
About the role As a Test Automation Lead/Test Manager, you will make an impact by designing and developing scalable, secure, and maintainable automation and Gen AI solutions. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering and Automation team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and junior engineers to drive innovation and excellence in testing practices.
Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of test automation frameworks and solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
- Develop and maintain Gen AI solutions, including integration with tools like Copilot.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all projects.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Charlotte, NC. QualificationsWhat you need to have to be considered:
- Strong experience in test automation using Java, Selenium, Gherkin, Git, and Git Hub.
- Hands-on experience with Python-based automation frameworks.
- Proven experience in developing Gen AI solutions, including usage of Copilot.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Experience in client communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to design and build robust automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Passion for staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative team environment.
